My name is Casey Heatherley
Hi, I’m Casey.
I’m the founder and owner of Stardust Studio + Independent Hair Co., and a hairstylist with more than 25 years behind the chair. From Brooklyn to Richmond, my career has been built around education, creativity, community and making great hair feel welcoming to everyone.
I created these two studios to give both clients and independent artists a place to feel supported, respected and completely themselves. Different specialties, different techniques, different people , but ONE community.
Meet My Partner in Crime
Jarrett “Crash the Barber”
With 20 years behind the chair, Jarett brings experience, creativity, personality and serious skill to Independent Hair Co. From precision cuts and barbering to styling and more, he brings his own perspective and techniques to every client in his chair. As my partner in crime, he’s also been an important part of shaping Independent and the welcoming, no-judgment culture we’re building together.
